Video Production As Tools For Learning

Theodosakis Nikos, in his article, "Video Production: Amazing Tools for Teaching and Learning" states,

  • "Inexpensive and easy-to-use digital cameras and editing software have enabled educators to explore the use of digital video as a serious tool for teaching and learning."

Students are instructed to create 'video reports' as opposed to the traditional reports, which could be done in all subject areas: Social Studies, Foreign Language, English/Language Arts, and even Math.

The skills Nikos mentions that arise and develop from the creation of video reports are: "cooperative learning, problem solving, developing oral, written and visual presentation skills, as well as developing an awareness of community, family and self."
